Auto Detail Technician — The Auto Spa.
Hurricane, UT • Full-time • Clear path to leadership.
We're building a team, not filling a shift.
The Auto Spa has 550+ five-star reviews and a reputation as the standard of clean in Southern Utah. That didn't happen by accident — it happened because of the people in our bays. We're growing, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. This isn't a job you hold until something better shows up. If you're the right person, this is where you build a career and eventually lead.
What you'll do:
- Execute our detail services to the highest quality standard, every vehicle, every time.
- Communicate with clients in person and over the phone.
- Identify and sell additional services customers actually need.
- Live the Auto Spa culture — on and off the job.
- Occasionally film social media content alongside team captains and managers.
The pay roadmap: We don't guess at your value. You earn your way up, and we tell you exactly how.
- Detail Tech (in training) $13/hour while you learn our systems and standards.
- Detail Tech (self-sufficient) 24% base service commission + multiple performance-based bonus opportunities per job + Tips.
- Team Captain Monthly base pay added on top of your service commissions and bonuses + Tips.
- Location Manager Salary + potential profit-percentage bonuses.
- Training pay is temporary. Once your skills are proven and you can run jobs on your own, you move to commission — and what you earn is directly tied to how well and how efficiently you work. Our strong techs do well.
Path to Leadership:
- Detail Technician → master the craft and the standard.
- Team Captain → for high performers who lead by example. You'll still detail, but you'll also take on added responsibility helping the manager run day-to-day operations. Extra responsibility, extra pay.
- Location Manager → for captains who prove they're committed leaders. You run the day-to-day operations of the entire service team.
- We're opening more locations. Those seats get filled from the inside. The person we hire today could be running a market.
What we need from you:
- You notice what other people miss — swirl marks, a missed door jamb, water spots on trim.
- You want to lead eventually, and you're willing to earn it.
- You show up on time, every day, without being reminded.
- You take ownership. When something goes wrong, you say so immediately instead of hoping nobody notices.
- Comfortable talking to customers face-to-face and on the phone
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record — you'll be driving customer vehicles worth six figures.
- Experience helps. Work ethic and attention to detail matter more. We train the rest.
Who this is not for:
- If "close enough" is in your vocabulary.
- If you need someone standing behind you to stay on task.
- If you're looking for a paycheck, not a career.
What you get:
- Real earning upside once you're off training — your income scales with your performance.
- Professional-grade products and equipment (P&S, 3D, KC, — not consumer junk off a shelf).
- Training in paint correction and ceramic coatings — skills you keep for life.
- A defined path to leadership with a team pushing to be the best version of yourself.
